Kemkit — Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

1. Who handles payments

Paid Kemkit plans are sold and processed by Polar Software, Inc., which acts as the merchant of record. Polar handles payment, invoicing, and applicable sales tax or VAT.

Because Polar is the merchant of record, refunds are issued through Polar. We authorise them; Polar pays them out to your original payment method.

2. Free plan

The free plan costs nothing and requires no payment details, so there is nothing to cancel or refund. You can stop using Kemkit at any time. If you have an account and want it deleted, email us and we'll remove it.

3. Cancelling a paid plan

You can cancel at any time from inside Kemkit: sign in, open your Account menu, and select Manage billing. That opens Polar's customer portal, where you can cancel or change plans yourself. The same portal link is also included in every Polar receipt email.

If you'd rather not use self-service, email hello@kemkit.com from the address on your account and we'll confirm within one business day.

When you cancel:

4. Refunds

14-day refund on your first payment. If you are unhappy with a paid plan, email us within 14 days of your first payment for that plan and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason.

Statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the UK, EU, or another region with a statutory cooling-off period, those rights apply on top of this policy and are not reduced by it.

Renewals. Renewal payments are not automatically refundable, because you have had the plan for a full period by then. If a renewal caught you by surprise — you meant to cancel, or you did not use the plan at all that period — email us. We would rather refund you than have you dispute the charge.

Service failure. If Kemkit is substantially unavailable or a paid feature does not work for an extended period, email us and we will refund or credit you for the affected time.

What we do not refund. We do not refund because a monthly extraction allowance went unused, and we do not refund accounts closed for breaching our Terms of Service — for example, using Link Finder against a store you do not own.

5. How to request a refund

Email hello@kemkit.com with the address on your account and the date of the charge. That is all we need — the Polar receipt is helpful but not required.

We reply within one business day and, where a refund is approved, submit it to Polar the same day. Polar typically returns funds to your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

6. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Polar retries it over several days and emails you. Your plan keeps working during that window. If payment still cannot be taken, the plan reverts to the free tier — nothing is lost, and you can resubscribe at any time.

7. Before you dispute a charge

If something looks wrong, please email hello@kemkit.com first. A chargeback costs us the payment plus a fee and takes weeks to resolve, while an email is usually sorted the same day. We would genuinely rather refund you.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Changes apply to payments made after that date and never retroactively reduce a refund right you already had.
